The Widow of Henry Clay Johnson, Mrs. Nannie Johnson suffered a burglary at her home in St. Pauls. Mrs. Nan and family moved to town from the farm after the passing of Henry Clay Johnson.

First community fair for the Colored citizens of Rex community began in 1933. Cooperation was the spirit of the day, as all of the competition judges were prominent White ladies from the White Home Demonstration Club.
